For over two decades, Sitara Sylvia Maldonado has been helping people live joyful and fulfilling lives. As a Master Rapid Eye Technician and Professional-level Yoga Teacher, Sitara has developed a unique healing approach called Back to Self, connecting people back to their natural, balanced state of peace and well-being.
From yoga to breathwork to visualization and sound healing, Sitara uses an eclectic mix of tools and techniques to create a sacred safe space where people can transform negative emotions, thoughts, and limiting beliefs into a catalyst for positive change.
Whether in her role as a healing practitioner, teacher, leader, coach, facilitator or guide, Sitara focuses on non-judgemental listening as a guiding principle in her work, helping clients gain valuable insight into the root of a problem and develop a constructive path forward.
Sitara has offered hundreds of experiential workshops and retreats in Canada, the United Status, Puerto Rico and Costa Rica, in both English and in Spanish. She was a faculty member of Kripalu Center, the largest yoga retreat center in the United States, where she offered yoga classes, workshops and lead kirtan to people from all over the world.
Originally from Puerto Rico, she lived and worked in the U.S. and Canada for 15 years. She is currently based in San Juan, Puerto Rico, the place she calls home.
Sitara is available for individual and group sessions, classes, experiential workshops and retreats in English or Spanish. Sessions are offered in person or by phone or Skype.
